Homework Guidelines

At Eastlea we believe that homework helps students embed their learning and develop independence. 

Homework tasks will focus on consolidation of learning to help students practice and embed the content and skills learned during their lessons in school. On average each Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) homework will be approximately 30 minutes long,  and Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11) homework will be 1 hour and 10 minutes long. 

Students access their homework via Google Classroom.  Parents are able to review homework set by using the Go4Schools application on their phones – additional information is available on the Eastlea Expects Page.

Students who fail to do homework will be asked to remain  after school to complete it with their teacher.  This is to ensure they do not fall behind in their learning.
